Common Name: Hebe 'Boughton Dome'
Latin Name: Hebe cupressoides 'Boughton Dome'
Variety: 'Boughton Dome'

Plant Description:
An unlikely looking Hebe. It forms a dense grey green mound of tough closely packed tiny leaves slightly more wide than tall. It is a slow grower but will eventually make a plant 40 cm tall and 60 cm across and given time even bigger. This fine large example can be seen in the splendid gardens at Bourton House, in Gloucestershire.

Water well before planting. Loosen the soil with a fork. Make a hole and loosen the soil in the bottom of the hole. Place the plant so that when it is sat in the hole the compost level is the same as the surrounding soil. Fill in around the plant with friable soil. Firm the soil around the roots to make good contact with the roots and to secure the plant. Water after planting.
Be aware that it occasionally puts out shoots that are more vigorous than the rest and they need to be removed to prevent them overwhelming the plant and spoiling its shape.
Specific Feeding:
It does not need a rich soil and as long as the soil is moderately fertile no extra feeding is required.
