Specific Planting:

Plant into a moisture retentive soil that has been treated with a granular fertiliser and plenty of organic matter worked in.

Specific Care:

At the end of the season when there is a threat of frost cut down the foliage and lift the plant. Put it into a pot and keep that pot in a cool but frost free place. It does not need light and can be treated like a dahlia tuber with the compost being kept just moist. In the spring start watering the plant as it comes into growth. When the danger of frost has gone plant out into the garden either in a container or in the garden border. Feed the ground well before plant out your Canna.

Specific Feeding:

If you are growing this in a pot give it plenty of water and feed with a liquid fertiliser every two weeks.
